What we offer for your Gifted child

At IAA we are less concerned about how old a student is, but more concerned about what they are ready to learn next. All of our students receive Multi-Tiered Systems of Support in the form of either interventions or extensions to a higher level of learning. We individualize the learning process for each learner.

 

We use the MAP mathematics and reading tests along with intelligence tests to identify students for the Gifted Program.

 

Students who are eligible for the Gifted Program at IAA will have a specialized Student Learning Plan (SLP).  Their plans will include critical thinking and metacognition goals as well as an accelerated program of studies.

 

It is not uncommon at IAA to see a middle school student in High School Classes, or multi-aged students in the same Elementary Literacy group based on their learning needs.
