What Makes Us Different?

Best English

We are not a bilingual school, we are 100% English speaking (except for world languages).

Best University Access

100% of our students are accepted at Universities, most in the US and Europe. Our students receive scholarships and financial aid in addition to credits for completed Advanced Placement Courses while they are at IAA. Families that want to invest in success at University enroll their students at IAA. Go Sharks!

Best Chance to get a Scholarship

Last year IAA graduated 10 students who received 58 offers of admissions from 40 different universities, and were offered over $1‘914.980 in scholarships and financial aid. IAA also has a Center for International Education where we work with local students to help them get into University and apply for scholarships. We specialize in sending students to the US with scholarships and financial aid.

North American International Education

We are the only school that has been Internationally Accredited in Guayaquil since 1982. We recently hosted a Cognia Accreditation visit that celebrated the continued progress we have made over the past five years. We are also the only Advanced Placement Capstone program in Ecuador. We use an American Curriculum and grant a US high school diploma.

Standard International Calendar

Only K-12 school in Guayaquil on an August to June Calendar. IAA is the school of choice for the children of the US Consulate, Multi-National Companies like Coca-Cola and Pepsi, and students coming from other International Schools around the world.

Safety, Inclusion and Happiness

Inclusive Multicultural setting with over 26 nationalities represented. We celebrate Diversity! We also have the best Student Support Department in the region and offer a robust Gifted Program.

Personalized Attention

Small group instruction, targeted literacy instruction, and small classes following our accrediting agency regulations.

Innovative Curriculum

We are the only school in Guayaquil with STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) initiative as well a complete Fine Arts Program. We are Reggio Emilia in our early years and Maker Space in elementary school. We embrace a Project Based Learning Philosophy that better matches to the skills our students will need as adults.

Experiential Learning

Through Education without Frontiers, students learn about the world through real-life hands-on experiences.
