Curriculum Philosophy 

InterAmerican Academy is a culturally diverse, inclusive learning community. We provide students with an intellectually stimulating academic program, founded in research-based standards. We place students at the center of the educational experience, and encourage them to be creative individuals, critical thinkers, life-long learners, and socially responsible world citizens.
 
IAA employs current research and best practices through  project based learning. This includes inquiry, discovery, creativity, problem solving and self-direction, in order to create a learning climate that is challenging, enjoyable, active and dynamic. The individuality and potential of each student is maximized in a multifaceted, collaborative, high quality-learning environment.
 
We seek to nurture the intellectual, personal, social, and physical development of the whole student. We value strengthening character through the practice of our SHARK standards: Safety, Honesty, Accountability, Respect, and Kindness.
