Gifted Program (TAG)
At IAA we are less concerned about how old a student is, but more concerned about what they are ready to learn next. All of our students receive Multi-Tiered Systems of Support in the form of either interventions or extensions to a higher level of learning. We individualize the learning process for each learner.
We use the MAP Mathematics and Reading tests and the Slosson Intelligence tests to identify our gifted students.
Once a student is identified, that student will receive an individualized learning plan. They will have regular group project time with other gifted students along with a modified curriculum based on their plan.
It is not uncommon at IAA to see a middle school student in High School Classes, or multi-aged students in the same Elementary Literacy group based on their learning needs.
