ABOUT US | PTO Mission


As the IAA PARENT TEACHER ORGANIZATION (PTO), our number one mission is to make our school a great place for our kids to thrive and learn.  We understand the diverse needs of the students, parents and teachers in our international community.  We are here to support our school community in order to maximize the potential in all of our children and enhance their education experience.

The PTO organizes fundraisers and events that raise money which goes directly to benefit the kids and the school community at IAA.  

In the past years, the PTO has funded the following:
Musical instruments, outdoor stage, outside lighting, playground equipment, construction projects in the cafeteria and multipurpose rooms, Teacher Appreciation Day and not to mention all of the seasonal festivities throughout the year like Halloween and Christmas.  

The goals of the PTO are:

- Support teachers and classroom activities through the Room Parent Program.
- Create opportunities for parents to meet and students to get acquainted.
- Offer a line of communication from school administrators to parents to further enhance cooperation.
-  Raise funds through school wide programs and events to support the need for additional classroom materials, field trips, holiday events, playground and sports equipment needs, building construction and charity work.

As a parent of a child at IAA you are automatically a member of the PTO. All parents are welcomed and encouraged to participate in meetings and events. Throughout the year we will meet once a month to discuss and plan activities to achieve our mission. There are plenty of volunteer opportunities in many capacities in and outside of school hours.  We are open and receptive to new ideas and appreciate feedback and support.
